As those who read Cross Rhythms exhaustive internet news service will tell you, the dramatically named Death Is Not Welcome Here is the new moniker for Flik whose magnificently brooding 'Simple' EP was one of the best post-Nirvana releases of recent times and who were featured in CR71. They are still a highly impressive unit. They have in Steve Williams one of the most gustily passionate vocalists in Britain's rock and hard music scene while his way with no-compromise, full on spiritual declaration is thrilling and challenging. Whether you call it radio friendly post grunge or, as their biog suggests, "hard rock, based on the Rock - to borrow a phrase, it's Christcore," one thing is certain, these Midlands rockers make a gripping noise.
