From 2003, this five track EP features inspirational gospel music from a Milwaukee-based diva who has been singing and ministering for 20 years. Lassiter, however, is let down on these recordings by a cheap sounding production and vocals that don't always cut it. She's best when she hits a groove and emotes so once you get past the sentimental spoken word "inspirational" introduction and settle into the title track, things are a little better. "For The Wanderer" and "Stand On The Word" are ministering ballads but it's the funky remix of "In Your Mighty Name" that is the song which really kicks it on this collection. No doubt, Lassiter does some fine ministry work with former female inmates and elsewhere at churches and conferences but this EP shows up as many flaws as highlights.
