Their promising set at Cross Rhythms '93 suggested it, their storming gig at Impact '94 confirmed it, December are a band only waiting for the door to open a tad to push through to CD popularity. They've developed a sound of their own though with Aileen's hauntingly tremulous voice still occasionally resembling the lass in Texas, and the harmonica of the band's other lady Viv, along with the gutsey slide guitar of Ronald, giving the band their gutsy, bluesy drive. Still major deficiencies in the recording (of course) but if you want to be in on the ground floor of another band bursting out of Scotland's creative melting pot you'll send for this 4-song tape.
