Hmmmmm. this is interesting! Futuristic sci-fi meets modern hip hop and DELaRAY has managed to construct an album which is musically interesting whilst also exploring spiritual issues in a creative way that is in your face but not clichéd or bland! Pushing back the frontiers of rap music, this is something fresh complete with sound effects, and plenty of grooves! The highlights for me are when he is interrogated by an alien voice wanting to understand human life and faith on the tracks "Humans R Odd" and "God Is In Control". On both tracks there's a fast-paced call and response between alien and rapper which if spread over the whole album would have been tedious but since it's a great idea, it stands to be exploited once more on the hilarious "Babel Game". Another standout is "Knock Knock", a 21st century take on Revelation 3:20 whilst "Test The Spirits" is a hard hitting warning shot to encourage listeners to carefully examine the spirit behind the "truths" they're hearing. Overall DELaRAY has concocted an effective spiritually mature, creative album that deserves to be checked out.
