If you are a connoisseur of '70s Jesus music you might recognise the name Shiloh. It belonged to the duo Mike Kelley and Denes McIntosh. This fascinating compilation features all the tracks from Shiloh's sought after albums 'Before The Lord' (1974) and 'Where Is The Peace' (1976) on which McIntosh sang lead. The alluring harmonies and deft acoustic guitars make these ancient tracks a folky delight with particular gems from the first album being the laid back rural sounding "Jesus Is Coming Again" and from the second album the plaintive title track and "I'll Give Him My Life" with some downhome fiddle giving the cut a delightful country drive. It's a shame that Mr McIntosh didn't re-issue both albums in their entirety but even in the truncated form here the music shines through with nostalgic warmth.
