Dirt along with the conglomerate of emcees and DJs Shadow Of The Locust are a street-level force for God, building their ministry on the prophetic words of Joel. Dirt himself has toured and opened for artists like POD and Cypress Hill but with 'Plague' he's created an album that communicates prophetically and powerfully in an uncompromising fashion. With an underlying theme of eternal judgment and an eschatological intensity calling for listeners to get right with God before it's too late, this is no lightweight hip hop set! Interesting selection of samples keeps this fresh and there's a hypnotic selection of beats. Standouts to these ears are "Theophilus" with its incessant groove, and the hard hitting "Iniquities Turn Rust".
