An album on the theme of the joy of the Lord, recorded live at Focus On The Family in Colorado Springs. Don's great strength is his deft way with gentle, worshipful ballads like the beautiful opener "We Give You Glory" with Justo Almario's sax hauntingly weaving around the tender melody. Unfortunately, Don's soft voice is less suited to an upbeat black gospelesque romp so a tune like "Glorious God", which Ron Kenoly would have taken to the rooftops, sounds limp despite all the sterling rhythm section work of Maxwell, Laboriel etc. But as I said, Don is a master of worshipful ballads and for a change of pace there's a bit of knee slapping hoedown from a special guest, country's superlative singer/songwriter Paul Overstreet. If you were blessed by Don's previous albums this one too will warm your heart.
