Forget what the publishers of Marvel Comics say, Superman is not dead! First glance of the case on this video left me with the firm impression that our Krypton born super-hero has merely ditched his uncomfortable-joumo-with-the-Daily-Planet guise as Clark Kent for that of a praise and worship leader, Don Moen. But enough of the packaging, what about the video? Well, Word have got themselves a real gem here. Almost as soon as the play button was pressed I felt transported right into the midst of the celebration taking place. Don Moen is certainly an anointed worship leader and this clearly came through on the video. The 2,700 strong throng of worshipers and the 120 voice choir gave it everything they had during this celebration and the Lord gave it back. The power that is present here is especially apparent during "I Am The God That Healeth Thee". You can see on the faces of the worshipers a real expression of the experience of joy found in the Lord. Other tracks include the powerful opener "I Just Want To Be Where You Are", "Your Steadfast Love" and "Blessed Be The Name Of The Lord". This is Don's version and is not the Noel Richard classic much loved on this side of the Atlantic. The celebration moves into top gear with the closing track "Celebrate Jesus" - the crowd looks like they're going to explode with joy. Don't be put off by the autocue that Don uses, after all it's only the modern equivalent of an overhead projector. Forget what you think of praise and worship tapes. This video is something else.
