None but the proud and embittered could fail to be moved by ‘Restoring The Years’. It's full of hope for the downtrodden, has rich textured voices, high-low dynamics and fine songs. 12 tracks from the choir who've influenced other choirs with their innovative strides forward in gospel music. Ranging back to 1995, the songs build up and uplift those of us who've seen trouble in our sojourn on planet earth, which is well nigh everyone who's lived long enough to get into trouble; usually a couple of years. The peristaltic motion of "Stranger" sung by Brenda Waters creeps into the psyche, building faith in those who doubt. Donald got together with Andre Crouch to write "Bless Me", based on the prayer of Jabez. The beautiful "Seasons" has Walter Hawkins singing a duet with Donald. What's more the Prince of Gospel Music: Daryl Coley is on here too, his smooth tenor voice singing "When Sunday Comes". Two brand new songs complete the package.
