Fax'n'info time first. Eight of the songs have previously been reissued on an earlier Ace/Speciality compilation, but there are alternative takes here. In addition you can enjoy four sides, never before reissued and another twelve (yep, twelve!) which have previously never been released in any format. And the music? Awesome, tear-up-the-church hollerers in the classic 50s Caravans mould. Especially hot is the Odessa Edwards sermonette "Lead Me Heavenly Father" but wherever you dip into this mega-compilation you'll find timeless music. As usual with archive-dredges like this one the album has copious sleeve notes (are you reading this, Word?).
