Aimed at seven to 11 year olds, this book by Doug Horley captures the youngsters' attention instantly with this eye catching, 96 paged creation. Doug, with his other persona Duggie Dug Dug is, of course, one of the UK's leading children's workers and the aim of this book is to show the rich diversity of all the weird and wonderful animals populating our planet, from whales to wallabies and mice to mammoths, with an underlying message that it is actually God that created all of these "awesome animals". The contents page itself is like no other, set out in a snakes and ladders-like format; it engages the kids from the very first page. The book looks at reasons why some of these creatures are endangered and the important part you can play in helping to look after our beautiful world. Interesting facts twinned with spectacular pictures dotted throughout the book explore important things we can learn through God's book - the Bible. Not only does this book offer life lessons children can learn from, but at the end of each chapter is a quiz section, often several questions or puzzles such as Jumping Jigsaws or Rhino Rumble. Fun sections like 10 Of The World's Deadliest and Other Tough Creatures mean there is no denying this is a book kids will absolutely love! As well as being a great book for kids to enjoy. There is also a big discount available for quantity purchases of the book to make it available for churches to use in this way. The book ties in with Doug's recently released DVD Duggie Dug Dug Goes Wild but it works even if you haven't seen the video. Thoroughly recommended!
