Reviewed by Trevor Kirk For some reason, Chicago seems to be THE place in the States for gospel choirs. The Thompson Community Singers, The Christ Tabernacle Combined, The Reed Temple Choir, Rev Timothy Wright's various ensembles, and The Cosmopolitan Church Of Prayer, which, whilst perhaps the least known over here (probably due to Malaco not having a distribution deal in Europe at the moment), give nothing away in enthusiasm, whilst not matching the technique of say, the Tommies, who are now the yardstick by whom I generally measure any competitors. This CD (excellent value at over 70 minutes), is good quality whilst not hitting the sublime heights of the best, the soloists are totally competent, with the good Doctor rasping away to good effect on five tracks, and everybody has church on every song. Worth considering.

Please send me the lyrics to Pray for Me. I have searched for many years for them. I purchased The Collection hoping to get the words, but they were not included. Lately, I've been trying to read the choir's lips on Youtube.com. Please help!
