What is it about Stateside at the moment? Everywhere you turn another husband and wife duo is crawling out of the Christian music undergrowth. The amazing thing is that most of them are doing a terrific job - Tavani, Out Of The Grey and others, but now Dream Of Eden. Most of the tracks on here are typical pap which any one of the other duos could have recorded and probably have, but where DOfE are a little different is that they seem to have a wider range. Witness Diana Pemelton's (the wife) superb rock performance on "What Do You Want From Me" and you'll wonder why she wastes herself on some of the earlier stuff. This one is Rachel Rachel style top drawer material, and she should concentrate on similar gear in the future. At the other end of the spectrum, try out Bret Pemelton's (the husband) delightful yet poignant ballad "Regina" and you can tell that the variety of this album is what makes it that bit more special than usual. The album gets going in track three "Under Your Sky", but I'd skip the first two - where some US record company (Essential in this case) have got the idea that this should be packaged like all the rest. Good debut guys.

Hi - I have been looking for another copy of this CD for years - I guess, since we loved it so much, I never dreamed it would not still be available!!! This is one of my wife's all-time favorite albums and I would really appreciate knowing if there is any way to get it! Thank you - Bob

thank you for your nice comments. I'd be glad to email you the files (if I can figure it out..my oldest son will probably know..he's my tech advisor) can't believe it's been 15 years since our first album came out.

thanks, again.

Greetings DOE!

I saw DOE at Cafe Concerto, Costa Mesa CA back in the early 90's, I bought the "Wonderful Thing" tape (this was before CD's!!) but my tape player broke years ago. I came into a working tape player and have had the pleasure to listen to this tape once again. I remember like it was just yeaterday, how much I loved all the songs on this tape and I can't tell you how happy I am to be able to enjoy it once again! It was like running into an old friend! The songs are timeless!

Peace and Blessings!
Cynthia
