Dreamlab is the brainchild of US producer Paul Buono and Eric Nordhoff who are clearly keen to bring a chill out club vibe to hymnody. So here you get synth renditions of "Be Thou My Vision", "The Old Rugged Cross", "I Surrender All" and several more. There is very little in the way of radical overhaul to provoke either consternation or celebration, and feature predominantly female vocals over gentle warming beats. Call it the musical equivalent of a Radox bath, nice and relaxing for the first listen but stay too long and you'll end up lukewarm!
