Doug Horley has been part of the UK ministry scene for more years than even he would care to remember. I first came across his music courtesy of his anthemic "We Want To See Jesus Lifted High", which Noel Richards used at the Champion Of The World gigs at Wembley Arena and Stadium in the 1990s, and even in those days, everyone was doing actions to it. Also, in his alter ego as Duggie Dug Dug, he has helped to give kids' praise in the UK a reputation for quality far removed from some of the gruesome stuff available elsewhere. So here we have a DVD stuffed full of good things (and I quote from the sleevenotes): easy to follow instructions for actions and dance steps; a commentary to guide you through each action song; on screen subtitle option; and top tips from Doug on how to make the songs really work with children. Add a good helping of humour (the outtakes option is worth a look), and a master class on air guitar, with all concerned strumming along on their inflatable plastic Stratocasters, and this is an excellent resource to get your under 12s doing really funky stuff, and having fun at the same time. Oh yes, and the songs themselves are catchy, firmly faith-based and teach sound Christian truth. Recommended.
