Reviewed by Lukas Willcocks Doug Horley, the man who brought you the God honouring musical delights of songs such as "I Want To See Jesus Lifted High", "When I Walk Through The Waters" and other congregational classics, now presents 11 tunes covering such topics as flatulence, nasal fluids and hair loss! You can't get any more down to earth than this! Okay, yes, it's a children's tape and a very funny one at that. However, why Mr Cummings sent it to me for review I haven't begun to understand (did I say something about liking all styles of music? Perhaps I should be more specific!). Okay, having some scientific background I thought it sensible to test the product on three kids across the street. Meet the reviewer's assistants: Danielle Newman (age 13), Sara Newman (11) and their brother James (10). What did these experts have to say? The eldest commented, "The song 'Homework, I Hate Homework' I didn't find funny. I just chose it (as a favourite on the tape) because it was true." Additionally, she said, "I think it was more for younger children because of the tunes (style?) but also 'cause it was quite rude," and it rated seven squares. Sara commented, "I thought the songs were brilliant for my age group. All the songs were funny, but the funniest of all was 'I Am Suffering With My Wind'!" Sara also liked the title and rated the project with eight squares! James must have an ambition to be a reviewer with comments like "I liked the beat" and "They were easy to listen to." Again, eight squares were suggested. So Duggie Dug Dug looks to be on a winner with his listeners if not their parents -there are no lyrics enclosed for the concerned and if marketed in the USA, the tape might attract an "explicit lyrics" sticker! ...Only kidding!
