E Tizz is part of the London hip-hop underground and here delivers a crystal clear and passionate album which has a pure Christocentric message. Tracks like "Down But Not Out" throw in contemporary references, names and social media - but at the same time E Tizz makes it clear his message is Christ. In "Power" featuring True2DaName, the MC raps "This one man has got all the power" over a rolling beat and a big, near military-sounding track. The project is full of a wide range of beats and instrumentalism. These move from a funky break on "Brand New", a downtempo "Never Let Me Down (God Is Mr Everything)" through to the Jay-Z vibe of "I'd Do Anything". There's even a sample from the musical Annie on "It's A Hard Knock Life"! E Tizz rolls over every break and is joined by Jahaziel and True 2 Da Name on "Letting Da SONshine". This is a hip-hop (not a grime) project that has so much of what gospel hip-hop should be. Beats, lyrics, delivery and Christ.
