Eddie DeGarmo, half of power-rock duo DeGarmo And Key, knows a thing or three about putting a catchy set of hooks together. Here he has co-produced an album he car1 justly be proud of. His music is in the light roc* vein, firm in its convictions, lyrically both intelligent and catchy, and sufficiently varied in style to remain interesting and entertaining throughout. "Prayed For A Women Like You" is a beautiful song - about the love of a man for the wife God has provided for him. The title track is rousing and evangelistic while "Beyond The Tears" is a heavily emotional piece dealing with the whole subject of human weakness. Between them, they should give you some idea of the scope of Eddie's work. 'Phase II' has its dull moments ("Shoreline" for one is totally unmemorable), but overall it is a worthwhile album to add to anyone's collection. Anyone who is prepared to admit in song that he's "feelin' like a piece of burnin' toast" gets my vote every time.
