In the growing internet connected worshipping Church, the New Zealand-based Edge Kingsland community have been steadily building supporters around the world. This is their third full album and brings together a set of earthy, stripped back worship songs covering a whole realm of musical influences sung by male and female members. Some of the songs are clearly pop oriented and suited to a congregational setting such as the upbeat "Amen" and rousing "Let There Be Light". Others are introspective yearnings of the heart such as the melancholy "At The Cross" and haunting "Oh God". One of the standout tracks is "Will Not Forget", a brooding landscape of sound proclaiming God's faithfulness. "The Round" exemplifies the ethos of the music output of the band by fusing music and lyrics into a prophetic worship which transports the listener to another level. This is an outstanding offering of pop and eclectic sounds which deserves wide exposure.
