London-based duo Dave Pilcher and Dave Hendra - collectively known as Eikon - have carved out a niche for themselves with this accomplished five track EP of gentle electronica-styled alternate worship music. Aided by an overriding minimalism to proceedings and Hendra's wistful vocals, the pair leave ample space for the listener to contemplate the message of hope and salvation through Jesus in the likes of the title track and "Draw Me Nearer" whilst synth-based pop washes and gentle dance grooves abound in the delightful 80s-tinged "You Found Me" and mild funk of "Leaning On You" - the latter adding a bit of welcome pace to the otherwise placid offerings. The bravely experimental "Psalm Balm" closes this release in ambient fashion and proves that both Pilcher and Hendra are willing to take chances when it comes to making worship music.
