Not the UK group, this Ekklesia, fronted by Marcy Fickens Morman and David Portis, are a six-piece (three male/three female) gospel ensemble from Fort Washington, Maryland. They certainly know how to sing and put the harmonies together, and there are some nice jazz nuances, but listening to '...All For Love', I quickly come to the conclusion that this is one of those albums which is almost very good, but one way or another, doesn't quite make it. Ekklesia particularly seem to fall down on some heavy-handed programmed backing, and Marcy's vocal leads don't quite hit the spot.
