Elizabeth Peters and Sharon Davies together make up the Hearts Of Worship ministry which has been ministering in churches in South Wales for the past four years. The concept is a simple one - take a pile of great worship songs, but link them together with scriptural exhortation, so that they seamlessly blend into a continuous stream of worship that stirs the soul. Easy listening in style, this is not cutting edge music, but anointed in a way that goes beyond some of the middle of the road bland recordings that flood the market from America. The two ladies know what they are trying to do, and do it effectively. Whilst the song choice is at times a little obvious, Elizabeth and Sharon manage to bring out the truths of the songs with relevant spoken contributions, so that this goes beyond the singing of songs. Their voices intertwine nicely, and although production suffers a little from the budget, there's enough imagination here to carry it. So songs like "The Power Of Love", "Shout To The Lord" and "I Will Offer Up My Life" all turn up but these are offset by less obvious moments as they tell a story, "Bamboo", or read Scriptures. Musically, this is very middle of the road but will be something for readers who want straight-forward worship which is easy on the ear.
