This is a very good offering from a very good songwriter and worship leader. If you are familiar with Powerscourt Praise you will have heard this man before. This is worship at its best in terms of passion, lyrics, musicianship and focus. This album really does minister to the soul. Having said all that, I had to listen to the album two or three times to really appreciate it. It lacks the immediate “wow factor” buts grows on you. Chris, the young guy at my local Christian bookshop, is not easily impressed with praise/worship type music, but he loves this one. This is not your average live worship album. It is mainly original songs with a couple of covers, including a great rendering of Tim Hughes’ “Here I Am To Worship”. The music is great with a real Celtic/Gaelic feel, as good as anything Soul Survivor has put out in recent years. This is an enhanced CD with printable guitar chords and lyrics for four of the songs, making it a good worship resource. Do your soul a real service – get this album and give it a serious listen, you will find yourself playing it often.
