The worship team from Auckland's Equippers Church have released an eponymous live album which finds the talented bunch praising God with everything they've got in front of what sounds like a large and enthusiastic crowd. Proceedings get off to a rollicking start with high octane dance-tinged thumpers such as "This Is How We Party" and "Hands High" - helped here by the New Zealand church's youth worship team Equippers Revolution - setting the scene for an album of no holds barred praise. Before long, things settle down into more formulaic worship mode with slow build numbers like "I Will Extol" and "He Is Holy" taking the initial frantic pace down a notch. EW have struck gold by securing the services of former Parachute Band members Wayne and Libby Huirua and, as a result, the presentation of each song is top notch but there is perhaps not enough lyrical or thematic depth to allow this collective's work to truly stand out from the myriad of similar worship releases out there.
