Erica is best known Stateside for being featured in a reality TV series which followed her ups and downs as she strove to be signed by a major CCM record company. This independent release from 2008 shows that Erica has a sweet, pure-toned voice which, given the right song, would indeed sound pretty good on US Christian radio. Unfortunately, this album doesn't display too many good songs apart from the expected, evergreen carols we've heard far too many times already. Also the Erica Lane originals here like "Saved Tonight", "The Secret Workshop" and "Old Saint Nicholas" have a tendency to teeter into tweeness which makes them difficult to listen to.
