Erica, based in Nashville, has made numerous television and radio appearances mainly in the US, Europe and India. She was also behind the Believe In America theme for the US talk show Be The People. Here she presents five songs reflecting life and relationships in under 18 minutes. Expert production comes from Dove award winner Bryan Lenox (Michael W Smith) and the opening track "Burden" is an uncluttered song giving ample room for Erica's smooth vocals to shine. "Without You" fits the middle ground between pop and new country while "You And I Are One" and "Do You Know" are full on ballads loaded with emotion (the former finishes the collection beautifully). There is even a cover of Dolly Parton's "Jolene", which although similar in style to the original, does manage to take the song a few steps forward. Erica demonstrates here that she can be adaptable to many musical styles and I for one would like to hear a full album.
