Just one word could do the review here - classy. It may have been a long and varied road to here but at the age of 26 Illinois-based Erin has arrived. A powerful voice, a skilled songwriter and a heart that's in the right place. Here these raw materials have been expertly combined with top-notch production courtesy of Eric Copeland and engineer Ronnie Brookshire. Topped off with some excellent musicians to back her and you get something that oozes class. Her songs are born of a real life of faith and the struggles between an earthly life and a heavenly calling. The title track sets the tone - all about getting out of ourselves and the boxes that we are put in by experience, upbringing, others' expectations of us and so many other ways. The style is very much mainstream rock, tending to anthemic at times but never succumbing to that stadium filling overblown thing that can happen. So all in all an extremely skilled debut.
