To be honest this is not a DVD that I was looking forward to reviewing. To me most of the Bill Gaither products have covers that look more cheesy that a camembert factory and this one has the added bonus that the guys all look like they're dressed for a Mormon convention. All that said I have to admit to being pleasantly surprised; these guys really can sing and whilst being true to the Southern gospel sound they have managed to develop a sound that is refreshingly unique. Obviously I'm not the only one to think so as the group have received multiple nominations for the 2006 Southern Gospel News awards including special event of the year for this live recording. Perhaps the one area where my worst fears were realised is in the "comedy" moments that are scattered throughout the recording which are consistently as funny as tooth ache though I'm sure fans of the Southern gospel genre will forgive them and just enjoy the thoroughly, consistently first class music throughout.
