Normally I always enjoy this fine group, but something seems to be lacking here and this CD, recorded live in Paducah, Kentucky, fails to have the exciting spark I normally associate with the Southern gospel stars. There are a few bright spots, however. It starts well enough with a rousing version of "When The Saints Go Marching In" and I was glad to hear that fine song by the late Marijohn Wilkin "Scars In The Hands Of Jesus" given an airing. "Noah Found Grace In The Eyes Of The Lord" is also really good. But sad to say, besides those most tracks I found dreary. The backing band is rather uninspired and the arrangements too heavily orchestrated. If that wasn't bad enough, there are a couple of real duff tracks at the end. What on earth possessed these fine harmonisers to sing two old pop songs, "Climb Every Mountain" (from The Sound Of Music) and "Blue Again"? No doubt hardcore fans of Ernie Haase And Signature Sound will buy this, otherwise I would give it a miss!
