Evergreen would be the first to admit that this album isn't the most polished of releases, recorded as it was on a very low budget. This considered, 'Promises' is a good introduction to a band that God is clearly using to reach out to young people around Stevenage (just north of London). The music is solid, if unspectacular, rock with a clear heart for worship in a way that doesn't alienate unchurched young people, who are regularly bussed in en masse to evenings of music and ministry. Support this band; after all, how many Christian bands do you know who arm wrestle their audience?!
