The release in 2009 of 'Wide Open Spaces' marked FFH's return to recording after a three-year absence. Since their first independent release in 1996 borne out of a foursome formed as Four For Harmony, FFH produced nine albums with near on two million record sales before frontman Jeromy Deibler and wife Jennifer took a break to take stock. In that period Jeromy was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2007 and the experience etched a turning point in their lives. The co-existence of brokenness and joy as they came to terms with deeper issues both physical and spiritual evolved into this poignant return as a duo to the studio. With their signature harmonies and pop melodies intact it is the intense honesty of the lyrics which mark out this album. For instance, the cut "Stop The Bleeding" is a lament where Jeromy intones "How much farther must I go 'til you say that I am broken?/How much heartache must I know for you to say 'Enough's enough'?/How many teardrops have to fall for you to see that I'm empty?/How much desert must I cross 'till I come to the Jordan?" Clearly, FFH have matured to become powerful communicators of spiritual honesty.
