John 'Finny' Finlinson is a singer/songwriter with a prison ministry and this is his second album to date. It contains songs based around problems faced by those in and out of prison none more so than "Before You" which declares "Is there any forgiveness for the things I've done" and reflects on the importance of being pardoned with a catchy chorus. Another song reflecting on past mistakes is the bluesy "Sometimes" with some infectious backing vocals. The spoken testimony "Wild Horses" might, to some, appear to be a bit of a filler but no doubt in the strategic evangelistic God has put in Finny's hands, this is a very useful resource. Overall, there is a lot to admire from this offering in its simple and laid back riffs and thoughtful, heartfelt lyrics.
