Firefalldown are a Filipino/British three-piece and this single is the first time I've come across them. I'm greatly impressed. This single offers in "Commissioned" some melodic funkcore with ferocious guitar rhythms, a gutsily passionate lead singer and a hook strong enough for "Commissioned" to get mainstream airplay. If you're looking for an inventive mix of skate punk, funk groove and pop immediacy this cut, produced by The Animal Farm (One Night Only) and mixed by Chris Shelton (The Foo Fighters) will be an essential purchase. The other two songs here are good as well. It's released on 15th June, so make sure you are at the front of the queue.
