With this their fourth studio album, this band are now established artists with a solid fan base. Coming to prominence with the Christian radio hit "Unbreakable", Fireflight are known for catchy, progressive rock tracks that carry Dawn Michele's impassioned vocals. This outing continues in a similar vein, opening with the building "Stay Close" which really develops into an anthemic rocker after a quiet start. Dawn continues to enhance the recording throughout with a voice that really shines over the heavier, throaty guitar sections. Notable tracks include "Ignite" and "Stronger Than You Think" with their harder edge. What does disappoint with this recording though is the way in which some of the rougher edges of Fireflight's first two albums have been smoothed off. Production is excellent but the band has lost some of their innovative raw feel. Even the thought provoking "He Weeps" which questions where God is in difficult times has a tune which seems too upbeat for the depths that the lyrics explore. Fireflight have produced a quality big sound with 'Now', and this radio friendly collection will be enjoyed by a large number of rock fans. I, however, found it a little too overly generic rock pop for my taste.
