In truth Geraldine Latty has made a little go a long way. She has an adequate voice though it's no more than that, lacking both the distinctiveness of some other worship leaders and the soul power of many black gospel divas. Also Geraldine isn't a very original songwriter and the one Latty composition here (2000's "Giving It All To You") is rather weak. Now there are some great songs on this CD - Tim Hughes' "Beautiful One", the Parachute Band's "All The Earth", Matt Redman's "Blessed Be Your Name" - but the renditions offered here with a muffled live recording and predictable arrangements aren't in the same league as the originals. I suppose I should end the review with the clichéd observation that this will be enjoyed by all those whose hearts were stirred by the women's ministry event at Belfast last year. But in truth, anyone looking for a distinctive worship recording will need to look elsewhere.
