Focusfest 2006 is of course the ever popular annual Christian women's conference and once again worship leading duties are carried out by Bristol-based Geraldine Latty. She offers a mixture of some of the contemporary songs used in the Church today such as Chris Tomlin's "Give Thanks To The Lord (Forever)" and Reuben Morgan's "Hide Me Now" and one or two "golden oldies" such as Edwin Hawkins's "O Happy Day". We are invited to "catch a glimpse of the celebration and joy. . ." Unfortunately, Geraldine brings nothing new or fresh to the material and this is consequently an album with little appeal except to those who were blessed at this year's Belfast event.
