Earlier volumes in this series have received enthusiastic reviews partly because of Andy Harsant’s excellent production and partly because he’s assembled top rate singers to contribute the vocals (in this case Nicki Rogers, Kaz Barnett and Doug Walker). Featuring songs from Matt Redman, Martin Smith, Michael W Smith and Graham Kendrick, the quality of worship music on the album is high. As well as the famous worship songs there are others like Nicki Rogers with title track ‘Fall’, reminiscent of a Tracy Chapman song. As ‘Fall Holy Spirit’ progresses, a sense of flow and a common theme develops. Songs such as Redman’s “When My Heart Runs Dry”, Sim Dendy’s “Jesus, I Love You” and Kendrick’s “The Lord Is Present Here” are all highlights. While the cover artwork and general presentation may lack imagination, don’t let that detract from what is an otherwise very good worship album.
