I think it's fab. So why? Could it be just because it is the sort of thing I like, that is, good, solid, regular British guitar pop. Or is it rather that although you might come across other bands much like this at any Saturday night pub gig, these cats do it so much better. Unfortunately, 'well crafted' is a bit of a cliche these days, so I'm robbed of what would be most appropriate for these highly melodic and expressive songs. This four song EP, their debut on CD, does well to cover some of the down sides of being human (rejection, loneliness) with true empathy and a counsellor's heart. The penetrating lyrics are too intelligent for sloganeering, Christian or otherwise but Christians could do with some of the insights given aided as they are by intuitive and at times beautiful musicianship. Seeing the words written down would have been illuminating too. Does "My Blood, Your Veins" hint at God's opinion on the previous songs? Judge for yourselves by buying it.
