Rob Frazier's main claim to fame is that he was the original lead singer for Petra back in the 1970s, but life didn't stop for him musically after he left. Over 20 years later, this collection of blues/rock material shows he's not ready for the carpet slippers and zimmer frame just yet. Rob's fellow Farmers are Peter Shurley, who sure knows how to make his blues harp wail, and Adam Lester, whose lead guitar work is also pretty hot, and collectively they've composer credits on all the tracks except one. The exception is The Bob Marley/Curtis Mayfield fusion of "One Love/People Get Ready", which sticks out like a sore thumb. The Farmers work best when it's mean and swampy 12-bar blues comin' at ya; more of that and less of the ballads and soul/reggae, and it would've been at least two squares better...

My favorite is "Reason For Being". What an excellent well produced piece of work. The acoustic recording is superb. All of the recordings are well established with good instrumentation.
The Dobro, electric guitar and harmonica work are worth the price alone. Good songs with a good meaning. Consider covering them!
