Nottingham-based Freddie is a faithful gospel journeyman who has spent years of dues paying before seeing this, his first CD, hit the album racks. His voice is hoarsely soulful, the rhythms here are undulating and effective without being ground breaking and given enough plays 'Love X Love' will register with R&B gospel aficionados.
