After several self releases, this is the debut album on this label for GI (God's Image) and their first in their current line up. With a strong modern gospel sound (with a little '80s funk and R&B mixed in), GI have achieved a strong album that offers more and more with repeated listening. The opener "I'm Ready" has super slick harmonies over an infectious beat, as they declare this is just the beginning. Ballads also play a strong role with "We Win" and "In Love With You" (featuring guest vocals from Keke Wyatt) which is likely to be played at weddings as well as praise gatherings as the lyrics fit both. G.I bring great vocals to the gospel world amply demonstrated by the acoustic version (there are two here) of the faith affirming "Pray & Don't Worry" (the original has already been a US gospel radio hit). This trio deliver the goods and are worthy of your listening investment.
