Well folks, here it is and it's taken three years to get to ya! Mr C is of course a well known dude for several reasons (apparently his missus does a bit of singing as well) and making slick pop songs is one of them. The opening cut sounds a bit like something Michael Bolton would belt out, then the mood changes a little (OK, a lot!) with what sounds a bit like a sort of pop-country-rock thing. That kind of country influence can be heard in several tracks, but it's not country enough to cut it as a New Country album. As a great lover of big drum sounds I never thought that these words would ever print out of my wee PC...but producer Michael Omartian has gone a tad overboard with that kick and snare, at some points so overpowering that the vocals are hard to make out, which is a bit of a shame since this disc has some clever lyrics. All in all, a good album if not a great one that is let down by a lack of direction in style and production that actually ruins the overall feel of some songs.

I have this cd, great one to have! I had heard ccm radio play the song "Sweet Glow of Mercy" from this cd and went out and bought cd. I immediately fell in luv with the last song on cd, "Sweet JESUS", it made a connection. It was nice to hear some remakes of his older songs, even though I favor some of the older versions. I luv the live versions of "Finally" and "Treasure" on Amy Grant's Age to Age concert video. Still trying to locate his first 2 vinyls from early 80's. GOD Bless! - Don
