Great solo lp from former Bill Gaither Trio member. I had heard the song "Living Water" on ccm radio airwaves at about the same time the lp was released.
I was taken by the song immediately;Gary co-wrote the song with well known songwriter Dwight Liles: & Bonnie Keen of First Call is heard on bgv's. Side 1 of lp begins with a song co-written by top notch song-
writer John Thompson (co-writer of "El-Shaddai"); the
song "Oh, Hosanna"; great song!, love it!: great sax!
In fact, John Thompson plays piano for every song on the album, but for the song "Then Will the Very Rocks
Cry Out"; nice contribution made by John on the lp.
The wonderful "He is Risen" captures the listener; what a song! Gary co-wrote this song with White-
heart's Billy Smiley. The CCM group Truth also covered this song on their "Second to None" album released the same year; both versions are worth the
listening pleasure:great ccm song!Incidentally, Gary and Truth both recorded this same year for "Paragon records. The magnificent "He is Messiah" graces the songlist on side 2; another Gary co-wrote with Dwight Liles;great songwriting here! The title song is the last # on side 2; perfect song to end with. Like the song says, "We're on our separate journeys to the Father's Throne". Thank you Gary!!
