Another husband and wife team to go with all the others we've had over the past few years, but these people are totally different from Out Of The Grey and others like them. This is soft pop with an ambient feel. Genie's vocals have more than a little of the Celtic about them, very breathy and ethereal, and Troy's orchestrations and programming billow out of the speakers in a wash of swirling sound. Songs are a mix of self penned and traditional: Thomas Ken's "Doxology", "All Creatures Of Our God And King", "Be Thou My Vision", "All Through The Night" and "It Is Well With My Soul" all get the treatment, and there's a version of the Lord's Prayer ("words by Jesus" says the song credit). Their own songs match the Celtic mood, and the album's excellent value at over 74 minutes. A good album for relaxation and meditation, and also to soothe the savage beast in the traffic jams on the M25. Well worth investigating.
