It's not often that you get an independent album from a Grammy-nominated songwriter but then George Brantley Ratzlaff is no normal talent. Once a member of the band Potliquor, George is now a sold out Christian. His family group Legacy have delivered a fine debut independent album in 'Foot Of The Cross' from which two Cross Rhythms radio hits have emanated. This solo album again shows the Florida songsmith to have a fine voice. The styles on this 2003 release range from the appealing soft pop of the title track through to the punchy, blues-tinged rock showcased on "Change My Heart". It's one of those strange omissions that this man isn't being lauded by the Nashville scene but in the meantime, if you are looking for a quality singer/songwriter George is the real deal.
