And now, in the words of Monty Python, for something completely different. Gerald March has been writing songs for over 20 years but this debut album was recorded comparatively recently. Mindful of the fact that not all songwriters are necessarily the best interpreters of their work, he did well to gain the services of two passing vocalists for a journey through his songbook. Although cast very much in the Radio Two mould, the songs encompass a wide variety of styles. Listening to Dean Maynard sing in Lloyd Webber mode, it's hard to believe that he was only 19 when he sang "Wings Of Love" and "Flowers Of The Field". Soul singer Kate Woodrow sings "Our Times Are In His Hands" and "He Died For You" very much in the style of Alison Moyet. March limits himself to the seasonal "Clip Clop" and leaves the dynamic duo to duet on all the remaining songs of this collection.

Happy memories !!
Despite singing the songs many times in church, I didn't
realise that Gerald had written them all.
The Clip Clop song is a classic and no Christmas is complete
with out it.
