This double CD compilation includes most of the Bristol-based worship leader's most popular recordings including "First", an upbeat piano-based track with a catchy chorus that stays with you long after it as ended. Geraldine is an accomplished songwriter and the standouts here include the beautiful ballad "Lord I Come" and the popular Catholic hymn penned by Sebastian Temple, based on Francis Of Assisi. The well known worship song "Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace" is included and it is refreshing to revisit it once again. "It's Amazing" with its jaunty Caribbean rhythm is uplifting while "Shout It" has a distinctive Latin beat. Geraldine is not the most distinctive singer in the world and sometimes her music sounds like an uncomfortable hybrid between Afro-Caribbean gospel and white CCM, but there's no denying her popularity and this selection will find some grateful purchasers.

Product Description

Geraldine was born in Crewe, Cheshire, to West Indian parents. Steeped in the Pentecostal tradition, Geraldine has also spent a number of years being a part of the Methodist church. She completed her music degree and qualified as a secondary school teacher, working for twelve years at a Catholic School in Bristol.

In 2000 she left teaching to ‘see what God wanted to do with her time’ and has found that invitations, opportunities to serve have continued and grown. Whether it is giving vocal coaching to teenage mums or heading up the music teams in church at Cairns Rd, running a community gospel choir, or leading worship at national conferences – the passion of her heart is to be one who knows she is pursued and loved by God, and to shout out loud that as God loves her so God loves and welcomes everyone. Everyone.

Her musical outpourings and creativity, involvement and leadership serve to see that dream realised. Geraldine has released 4 studio albums with Kingsway and been involved in countless live event recordings. This is a collection of great worship songs taken from those 4 albums.

My daughter attended St. Thomas More in Bristol, and I remember when she played Memory in school concert, I think she was about 14 and we were very nervous waiting in the audience, she was learning the clarinet at the time and she played it beautifully, we were so grateful for your teaching and inspiring her. You were very well regarded at the school. Many thanks. Two Parents.
