For eight years, American singer/songwriter Ginny Owens has been a popular name in the US CCM scene and 'If You Want Me To' is a compilation of tracks from her first six albums. The wide range of musical and recording styles makes the album feel very complete and tracks are included from most of her studio albums, including some newly recorded live. Furthermore, there are a few previously unreleased tracks for the longtime Ginny fan. At first I thought the addition of the talking track "Ginny's Story" was a bit odd, as I felt it interrupted the flow of the album. There is something about Owens' lyrics which really touch base, and her light and airy voice is a joy to listen to. As a journey through Ginny Owens' musical career, this compilation is personal, deep, and touching.
