When I first saw the "boiling frog" on the CD cover I wondered If Godfrey Birtill was, like me, a reader of Modern Railways. Whether or not that's the case, he certainly makes the point that as a nation we have been sitting back for too long letting "the world" take us over with its morals and values. That's the theme of this live worship album, recorded in February this year at the New Life Church in Lincoln (UK, as it says on the cover, not to be confused with Lincoln, Nebraska, presumably). The title track opener homes straight in on the theme and having established the problem so to speak, Godfrey then leads the audience on the path to recovery, from "Unbelief", to a request to "Purify My Imagination" and "Come O Spirit Of The Fear Of The Lord", through a sequence of praise until "flushing out" their sins, "You've Lived The Mercy" so that, as the line from that song says, "Now stand the responsibility." There are some good songs here, some of which could become worship classics ("God So Loved"), but as always with live worship albums I find it hard to get into the event, not having been there.

I saw Godfrey a couple years ago and I was totally wowed. It was one of the best worship services I ever went to. I can't wait to see him live again.

I recently saw Godfrey at the Jesus Army Men Alive for God day (http://www.jesus.org.uk). His music is spirit lead and cuts deep. I just hope he doesn't fail the way others have who are gifted by God and become Christendom's celebrity pop stars. Highly recommended.

Was really priviledged to see Godfrey today in Jubuilee Church, what a wonderful and genuine man he is. My son who is a wheelchair user also came, he is not a Christian but Godfrey really "spoke" to him and my son really enjoyed it; hopefully he will soon come to the Lord and accept Jesus as his Saviour.

I just love the raw radical prophetic edge to this C D. It has stirred my fairh like no other C.D had for quite some time. This is not neat, tidy sanitised worship but it calls your spirit to attention with it's challenge to get real and serious with God. this is anointed Holy Spirit worship & I love it.
