Following from the debut album 'Glory To My King' and released on vocalist Christian Liljegren's label, this is an unashamed bombastic blast of pure power metal. For the uninitiated, Golden Resurrection draw on such influences as Queen, Stratovarius, Dio and more than a hint of Abba too. With their colours nailed firmly to the mast, this album forges ahead on a sea of technical guitar riffing, big power metal war cries and lots of dramatic orchestration and retro keyboards. The talented guitarist/singer/composer Tommy Reinxeed wields his six-string axe with considerable skill and plenty of marvellously musical guitar breaks and leads can be found throughout the album; listen to the delicious throwback '80s guitar wail and shred of "Golden Times". Of particular note are the vocal arrangements: expansive and multi-layered contributed to by all five members of the band. Bringing all these elements together are tracks like "Are You Ready For The Power", with its catchy chorus and fabulous guitar break and title-track "Man With A Mission". It's a quality offering which any lover of '80s hair metal and melodic power metal will enjoy and digital release owners can also enjoy an excellent cover of Kansas' "Point Of Know Return".
